Dr. Clinton Unruh grew up on a farm and ranch in the panhandle of Texas. He attended Texas A&M University for his undergraduate degree in Animal Science and was accepted into the Veterinary Medical Program at Texas A&M. Upon graduation in 1999, he completed an internship with Littleton Large Animal Clinic in Littleton, Colorado. Upon finishing the internship, he moved to the Colorado Springs area to begin practice. Dr. Unruh and Dr. Greg Brown established Colorado Equine Veterinary Services in the summer of 2003. When time allows, he likes to enjoy outdoor activities with his family.
Dr. Greg Brown
Dr. Greg Brown was born and raised in south eastern Idaho. After receiving his DVM from Washington State University in Pullman, WA, he practiced in a mixed large animal clinic for 2 years. He soon discovered that he had a greater interest in working with horses. Dr. Brown has been practicing Equine Veterinary Medicine in Colorado for nine years and has been a part of CEVS since it’s start in 2003. When the opportunity arises, he enjoys team roping, snowboarding and hunting.
Dr. Shayna Warner
Dr. Shayna Warner grew up in Woodland Park, Colorado. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Colorado State University in 2004 to be followed by her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Throughout veterinary school her focus was on equine medicine and surgery and was also heavily involved in infectious disease research where she spent the summers in Hamilton, Montana working on various horse ranch’s and for the National Institutes of Health. Upon completing her DVM, she completed a 1.5 year long Equine Medicine and Surgical Internship at Mississippi State University. Professionally, special interests include equine medicine, emergency/critical care, lameness, and teaching. She also works with small animals in emergency and critical care in Colorado Springs. Dr. Warner enjoys outdoor adventures; including snowboarding, hiking, fly fishing, working with her bird dogs and riding her horses. She is very excited to be in the area with family, friends and to be a part of Colorado Equine.
