Our diagnostic equipment allows us to perform Olympus video gastroscopy, video endoscopy, computer digital radiography, and digital ultrasound. Our investment in high-quality equipment allows us to provide state-of-the art equine diagnostics in Southern Colorado. We also have equipment that allows us to do in-house blood work. This equipment includes Idexx LaserCyte, Vet Test, and VetStat machines. Some of our routine procedures include power floats with access to more invasive dental procedures, minor to moderate surgeries, such as enucleation and castrations, cryptorchid castrations, lameness examinations, artificial insemination, radiographs, ultrasound and IRAP procedures. We also offer equine chiropractic and acupuncture along with our mobile vet service.
Colorado Equine Veterinary Services’ facilities contains a six-stall barn including ICU and mare/foal stalls, five outdoor runs, expanded treatment area with stocks, indoor expanded laboratory space. We also have an indoor arena for lameness exams in inclement weather and a breeding phantom for stallion collection.
We have high exposure opportunities with emergencies. We are chosen to be the on-site veterinarian at horse shows and rodeos in the surrounding Pikes Peak region. This allows us to see our current clients along with meeting new people in the horse world.
Colorado Equine Veterinary Services has accommodations for on-site housing. This includes a private bedroom with twin bed and bedding, community bathroom (used by employees and clients during business hours), a community kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and hot plate.
